The grapes come from Quinta de S. Luiz, where the vines range in age from 20 to 80 years. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 200-400 meters above sea level. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully transported to Barros in Vila Nova de Gaia, where they are matured in 225 liter oak barrels.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n\u003cp\u003e Barros 101 Very Old Tawny presents itself with a deep reddish-brown color and golden tones. It is both fresh and silky with aromatic notes of dried fruits such as apricots, citrus, cane sugar and vanilla. The taste is full and creamy with a harmonious and persistent aftertaste.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\n \u003cp\u003eServe the port at a temperature of 17-18° degrees. It is ideal as an aperitif, possibly with a cigar, or as an accompaniment to desserts with cheese, chocolate and fresh fruit.
