The situation took a positive turn when the Frey family acquired Paul Jaboulet Aîné in 2006. The Frey family, who also own vineyards at Château la Lagune in Bordeaux and properties in Burgundy and Valais, Switzerland, have revitalized the company. Caroline Frey, a trained oenologist from Bordeaux, is now at the helm of the company. She has modernized all the vineyards and added new, premium plots in Côte Rôtie, Condrieu and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Today, the company owns around 120 hectares in the Rhone, and since 2013, all the fields have been cultivated organically.
