Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 2000

Quinta do Noval, first registered in 1715, is now owned by the French insurance company AXA. Located in the beautiful Douro Valley, Quinta do Noval is famous for its iconic plot that produces the renowned Quinta do Noval Nacional. The property extends over 145 hectares, of which 80 hectares are dedicated to vineyards. The winemaking process is a harmonious blend of modern techniques and traditional methods, including the classic foot pressing of the grapes. Port wines from the year 2000 are particularly sought after due to their excellent quality. We still have a limited number of bottles from Quinta do Noval, which is among the most prestigious port wine houses.

WineSpectator has given 96 points: "Fascinating aromas of crushed fruit, tar and wet earth. Flowery, full-bodied, medium sweet with velvety tannins and a long finish. Best after 2012."

eRobertParker also awarded 96 points: "Very clean blackberry, berry and blueberry with notes of cigar box and flint. Medium-bodied, round and sensual with hints of mint, orange peel, fig and white pepper. Drink 2015-2040."
